Welcome to WTF Taekwondo UK

The Korean Martial Art of Taekwondo. The name Taekwondo Literally translates as the way of the foot and fist. Tae means to break or attack with the foot  Kwon means to break or strike with the fist and translates as the way of or as the art. The modern form of Taekwondo was not agreed until 1955 but the art was formed from many of the Korean Martial arts.

TaeKwondo as a sport has over 60 million practitoners in 184 countries. It was introduced into the 1988 Olympic games in Seoul, Korea.

The Head Quarters of the World TaekwonDo Federation(WTF)    are in the Kukkiwon in S.Korea where all Black belts are registered.

 We are registered with the Chung do Kwan G.B.  and the British Taekwondo The national body for Taekwondo in Great Britain.
